Biofuels Research

The MU biofuels research has focused almost entirely on the use of biodiesel as an alternative fuel for diesel engines.  Some of the grants have been awarded are listed below:

• The Internet- An Efficient Method to Provide Answers to Frequently Asked Questions of Biodiesel- National Biodiesel Board

• Fueling Direct Injected Diesel Engines with 2% Biodiesel Blend- Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee

• Bench Testing Cummings Engine Company Fuel Injection Systems with Biodiesel Blends- Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee
